meet cas!

A floral designer, plant boutique owner and wedding coordinator!

I met cas while attending a styled shoot last june, she brought amazing florals for this event and I could not get over how beatiful her designs were! I highly recommend chatting with her if you are looking for floral for your wedding day!

I was recently able to chat via email with cas about her business and get to know her a little better, i wanted to share a bit about her and give you all the insight on why you should use her as your florist!

1. Why did you decide to be a florist?

I remember being in high school in my leadership and careers class and always listing florist as my top career choice in all of my assignments, which looking back, is fascinating because I had no exposure or experience in that field besides picking flowers from my mom's garden. I then took a botany class in high school and that just confirmed my love for flowers and plants which is what I then pursued in college where I studied ornamental horticulture and business.

2. What is your favorite part of your job?

Tough question! On the business side, it's creating my own brand, working for myself, and getting to work with amazing clients and building awesome relationships. On the design side, it's getting my hands dirty, being innovative, and creating large installations that provoke emotion. Overall, it's doing something different every single day, constantly learning and growing, and bringing joy and comfort to others.

3. Tell me about yourself and where you’re based

Our Willow & Ivy studio is located in Southwest Wisconsin, in Boscobel. For our funeral and everyday work, we deliver to Boscobel and the surrounding areas of Fennimore, Mt. Hope, Mt. Ida, Wauzeka, Steuben, Mt. Zion, Gays Mills, Rolling Ground, Blue River, & Muscoda. Our wedding and event business serves all over Wisconsin as well as into Minnesota, Iowa, & Illinois.

4. What’s one of the most memorable experiences you’ve had as a florist

Every time we get chosen to be published always seems surreal, and my favorite was being named one of the top 5 florists in Wisconsin by the Blissful Blue Jays Blog. Each feature is so unique and I feel so honored to be chosen for this one! I can't forget to mention that I had the opportunity to visit the Netherlands and tour the Aalsmeer Flower Auction which was so incredible to see where many of our flowers come from!

5. Do you have a favorite flower to work with and why

Absolutely not-it's way too hard to narrow it down to just one. My go-to flowers are always constantly changing, but I am always drawn to less common or non-traditional flowers or varieties. I enjoy introducing my clients to something new and unique. Many times I find that my favorites are the greens we use and not the flowers!

6. Tell me one random fact about yourself

You can guarantee that if I do your flowers and coordinate your wedding, I will be crying! There is one point in every wedding that just gets me. It could be the first look, vows, the speeches, the grand entrance , or the first dance..... something hits me right in the feels and the tears will fall. I genuinely care so much about my clients and it makes me feel so blessed to help create their best days.
